One Week into the New Year

Well it is one week into the New Year and how have I done?
I have started organizing the master bedroom area.
It took all New Year's Day to pull everything out of the closet and to hang-up the clean clothes.
The mountain of laundry pulled out... about 15 loads and one trip to the dry cleaners.
Never, I mean never, purchase clothes instead of keeping up with the laundry. It only adds to the problem.
Next on the list to organize the master bathroom.
Pull out the old medicine and toiletries no longer wanted or expired.
Give it a good deep cleaning.
Then to move on to the bedroom it's self.
I need to finish putting everything in its place and clearing off surfaces.
I have been in my home almost 3 years and have been unable to decide on a style/theme that I want to decorate with.
I use to love that, but lately I feel overwhelmed.
Guess I will look at magazined for inspiration and make a determination.
This project will be finished by Jan 31st.
Will be sure to post pics at that time.
If I put up before pictures it would be like "Clean House" CRAZY and Foolishness,.

Snow Day and the Closet

I know this is probably not a big deal to people who get a lot of snow; but here in NC 8 inches of the white stuff can shut us down. Therefore I will be home from work today. My plan to get a start on my New Year's Projects. In the endevor to not be in the same place personally in 365 day I plan to tackle my closet which is spilling out into the bathroom. I get to replace one job with another. Wish me luck I'm going in.

Saying Goodbye to 2010

I don't know about most people but each year I look back and take note.
How were things for my family? How did I do on my job? Did I lose that weight? Did I ever get organized? Every year I say I am going to X and at the end of each year I am at the same place. (well maybe a couple of extra pounds or a little more cluttered.)

This year I have decided to blog about my goals and dreams. Believing that someone may see this and help to hold me accountable or to be evidence to someone else that they may not be alone in their chanllenges.

So here it is. My plan for this week is to look at the 8 areas of my life and make thoughtful goals that will help me to make positive change.
What are those areas? Spritual, Health, Education, Career, Family, Personal, Recreation, and Social.

The thought is to be realistic in my goals as well as are they able to accomidate my walk with the Father. If I have acheived everything I placed on my agenda and it was not pleasing to God then did I really accomplish anything.

Here is to prayers and possiblities. May someone find blessing in this endevor and may I pass the test.
